When 2020 began, I felt this hodgepodge of emotions. For me, the beginning of the year felt like no other! Did I know the world as I knew it would soon shut down? No! However, at it's inception, I knew there would be triumphs and trauma like never before. The year of vision kept ringing in my head yet the still small voice kept whispering you'll survive! Having been privileged to this type of favor before, I grab my pamphlet and the journey began. Who knew, we would get a timeout, an opportunity to prioritize our lives, tap into our purpose, write our stories, create products, build and birthing dreams that otherwise would have remained dormant. Simultaneously, we've never suffered so much pain. As the Crisis continued, the reactive effects grew. Pandemic Anxiety and Insomnia were up there with Mental Health as it relates to Crisis. We fought fights that no one knows about while confined in spaces that were not safe. Together, we went from hearing about it to knowing someone who knows some one and by now, we know someone that did not survive. We are not and will never be the people that left 2019. We are forever changed by our experiences. We are just as thankful as we are torn by the "two faces of 2020".
